William Combe rarely put his name to his works. Today, people recognize some of the
titles but do not know who wrote the works. Some have been bound with works that
were of questionable authorship in the past which turned out to not have been
written by Combe. Prior to his death, he was asked by Rudolph Ackerman to produce a
list of his works and the list was extensive. Part of this project is meant to
collect his works and attempt to verify attribution on some of them with new
technology. It is interesting to see what he was working on contiguously and may
provide future research questions as far as how works are tied together.
